Languages at Wentworth:

Starting in Nursery students will learn Spanish as part of their daily curriculum. Spanish will be the school’s second language. In Grade 2, with a solid base of English and Spanish, students will begin daily French study as their third language. This emphasis on secondary and tertiary languages will prepare our children for their future as global citizens. These languages will be taught within the boundaries of our curriculum. For example, fitness, history or poetry may be taught in Spanish or French to re-enforce the language and help our students comfortably embrace multilingualism.

Hebrew will be offered once a week (to learn the basics, alphabet, numbers, simple sentences) for one hour and reinforced through song and storytelling during the holidays. It will also be offered as an optional after school program for those needing to prepare for Bar and Bat Mitzvah or anyone wishing to enhance the weekly classes.
